A380 Flap Track Fairings (FACC)

Production of FTFs for Airbus’s A380s began at the beginning of this year.

In order to reduce the weight of an aircraft, all fairings of the A380 are made from carbon fibre, which results in the fairing weighing up to 30 per cent less than that of fairings produced using conventional metallic materials.
