June 2009

Mubadala Development Company announces it has formed a new company, called STRATA

September 2009

His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, lays the foundation stone for STRATA.

Construction begins at STRATA’s chosen location in Al Ain, UAE.

October 2009:

First pillars of the facility are erected. By the end of October, all pillars are put in place in preparation for completion of the external work.

November 2009:

Majority of external work is established.

December 2009:

Internal construction begins.

January 2010:

STRATA plant begins to take shape.

July 2010:

A qualified aerostructures facility is completed – in less than 10 months. Let the STRATA operations commence.

September 2010:

STRATA celebrates the delivery of its first work package.

November 2010:

International aerospace suppliers visit the Al Ain plant for the first time. STRATA hosts more than 100 key individuals.

STRATA delivers its first aerostructure to be fully constructed in-house – less than six months of the plant opening. The product, A330/A340 Flap Track Fairings, was delivered to FACC in Austria.
